NASHUA – A list of approximately 1,300 residents who have not paid their property taxes for 2012 included one city alderman until Monday: Ward 7 Alderman June Caron. Caron paid them off – $5,100 plus $229 in late interest, accrued at 12 percent a day since Dec. 17, 2012 – on Monday afternoon after speaking with The Telegraph. “The reason it’s not paid, and it will get paid this week, is because I had major surgery in October, so I didn’t get released from the doctor until mid-January,” Caron said. “That was the last thing on my mind.” Issues related to Caron’s procedure, such as physical therapy, prevented her from getting the taxes paid on time for her home, listed as 24 Montgomery Ave. on the city’s website, she said. “It’s on my list of things to do,” Caron said.
