NASHUA – An employee of a south Nashua store has been charged with stealing merchandise, police say. Ricardo Silva, 32, of 18 Connell St., Hudson, is charged with theft by unauthorized taking, a Class B felony, police said. Police on Tuesday were called to a retailer for a report of an investigation of an internal theft. Officers talked to the store’s loss prevention officer, who told police that Silva, an employee, committed two separate thefts at the establishment between August 2012 and January, according to police. Silva allegedly stole two Apple iPads with a total value of more than $1,000, police said. He was arrested at the store without incident, police said. Silva was released on $1,000 cash/surety bail pending arraignment at Nashua district court. – PATRICK MEIGHAN
