Chunky’s Cinema Pub is offering free movies for veterans and active-duty military Sunday in honor of Veterans Day. Veterans must present proper identification, such as a VA card, a Veterans of Foreign Wars card, an American Legion Card, discharge papers, DD214 or other veterans/military identification. Sandy clothing drive The Nashua Fire Fighters Association, in conjunction with their brothers from the Bloomfield, N.J., Fire Department, have organized a clothing drive for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The association is in need of new or gently used clothing and towels for all ages, infants through adults. The campaign will move quickly, according to its website, so donors are encouraged to drop off anything they can spare at Nashua Fire Rescue Station 5, 101 Pine Hill Road, by Friday. Members also need help sorting, packaging and transporting the clothing from 1-5 p.m. Friday and 9-11 a.m. Saturday. To help, volunteer or for more information, contact Rich at 548-7845 or fast coach10@gmail.com. Normal trash schedules All curbside collections of recycling, soft yard wastes and trash will follow a normal schedule this week, the city announced. The Four Hills Landfill/Nashua Recycling Center will be open for normal operation Monday through Saturday; however, the office at the landfill will be closed Monday. In anticipation of high volumes of soft yard wastes, the Four Hills Landfill/Nashua Recycling Center will be open extended hours for residents on Saturdays, Nov. 17 and 24. On those days, the scale will close at 12:45 p.m.
