CONCORD – Two-time congressional candidate and radio talk show host Jennifer Horn, of Nashua, emerged Wednesday as the all-but-inevitable next chairwoman of the Republican State Committee.
Horn released a Who’s Who list of prominent Republicans endorsing her led by U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, defeated congressmen Frank Guinta and Charles Bass, current Senate President Peter Bragdon, R-Milford, outgoing House Speaker William O’Brien, R-Mont Vernon, incoming House Republican Leader Gene Chandler, R-Bartlett, the party’s two national committee members and three ex-party chairmen.
This came a day after Chairman Wayne MacDonald confirmed that he would not seek a full two-year term when the state party meets Jan. 26 to pick its new leadership.
Then within hours of Horn confirming her candidacy Wednesday, her biggest rival for the top party post bowed out.
