MILFORD – Police are searching for a thin, white male in his early 20s in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon at the Subway restaurant in Elm Plaza, 222 Elm St.
Police said the man, described as between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a royal blue hooded sweatshirt with white stripes on the arms, black sweat pants, a blue bandana and sunglasses, entered the sub shop just after 3 p.m. and brandished a knife while demanding money from the clerk.
Witnesses told police the suspect left the restaurant with cash, the amount of which police didn’t specify. Police said he reportedly headed east along railroad tracks that run behind the restaurant.
Police said several officers, along with the department’s K-9 unit, searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
