New England Patriot fans always try to recreate their glorious past, don’t they? This time they may be on the right track.
When the Patriots would score on Sunday during their 28-0 win over the boring Miami Dolphins, the Gillette Stadium crowd would throw snow up in the air, as they had some of it in spots still lingering from Saturday night’s snowstorm.
It brought back the memory of a win over the Dolphins after some 20-plus inches of snow had fallen during a December win during one of the Patriots Super Bowl title seasons, 2003 to be exact. Now this wasn’t nearly as dramatic, but who knows, glory may be ahead.
“This time of the year, it’s all about going out and playing your best in each one of those (playoff) games,” Patriots safety Devin McCourty said, “because there’s no game after that if you don’t play well.”
It’s all falling into place. When New Orleans hosts a Super Bowl, the Patriots are usually there, and it looks like only Peyton Manning could stand in the way.![]()
