NASHUA – It was 2 a.m., and Christopher Mitchell was sprinting around the corner of his home.
He was hot on the heels of a man dressed in a Michael Myers mask, wearing coveralls and carrying a gun and a machete. Mitchell had just left a terrified 12-year-old crying in his front hall after being awakened by the child pounding on his front door.
Minutes later, Mitchell caught up with what turned out to be a prankster. The gun and knife were fakes. But it was Mitchell who was arrested early Saturday morning, charged by Nashua police with threatening the man in the “Halloween” costume with a real knife.
