Those who showed up early for Sunday’s Bishop Guertin against Nashua South boys basketball game at Nashua North got a glimpse into the future.
A Division I future that is certain to include Pinkerton center Luke Rosinski. The 6-foot-6 freshman was averaging 10 points and 10 rebounds until going down early in the season with a foot injury.
Unfortunately for North, his return after six weeks on the sidelines came Sunday.
In a game crucial to both team’s playoff chances, Rosinski came off the bench to score 14 points and grab 10 rebounds in the Astros 49-44 win.
“He’s obviously going to be a very good player,’’ North coach Steve Lane said. “Overall, they are huge, bigger than any team in the state.
“Our kids played hard, like they always do, but they killed us on the boards.’’
And they were killed at the line, where the Titans were outscored 21-4.
